Lawyers of Distinction Welcomes Caitlin Toker, Esq. and Luther Jones IV, Esq. from DeTorres & DeGeorge Family Law Attorneys

Lawyers of Distinction is proud to welcome Caitlin Toker, Esq. and Luther Jones IV, Esq., from DeTorres & DeGeorge Family Law Attorneys.

Caitlin DeGuilo Toker joined DeTorres and DeGeorge as an associate attorney in June 2014. Prior to joining the firm, Caitlin was associated with law firms specializing in the practice of family law, operating out of Morris and Monmouth Counties and additionally servicing Essex and Ocean Counties. Caitlin also worked with the Hon. Anthony F. Picheca, Jr. as law clerk in Somerset County, Family Law Part.

Caitlin handles all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, parenting time, equitable distribution, alimony, child support and post-judgment matters. Caitlin has significant experience in motion practice and negotiating property settlement agreements.

While in law school at Jacob D. Fuchsberg Touro Law Center, Caitlin was involved in the Family Law Clinic and represented indigent clients in Suffolk County, New York Family Court. At the conclusion of her term, Caitlin received an award for being the most successful student attorney in the program. Caitlin earned her Bachelors Degree from Drexel University, where she interned for the Hon. Renee Cardwell Hughes in the Philadelphia Homicide Division.
Caitlin is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York, and is a member of the Hunterdon County Bar Association.

Luther Griffin Jones, IV, has been practicing since 2006, and joined DeTorres & DeGeorge in 2017.  Luther has the distinction of having served two judicial clerkships: for the Honorable Harold C. Hollenbeck, J.S.C.; and the Honorable Edward V. Torack, J.S.C., respectively.  After his clerkships, Luther has focused on family law and domestic violence cases; but is also a seasoned practitioner of municipal law, having served as the Assistant Public Defender for the Borough of Montvale, New Jersey (now the Pascack Joint Municipal Court).

Luther is adept at all phases of a family law matter, including international Hague Convention matters, from the commencement of an action through to the completion of trial and appellate practice.  Although Luther strives for a fair and reasonable settlement for all clients, especially when children are involved, he does not hesitate to proceed to trial.
At the heart of Luther’s practice is his desire to seek fairness for his clients.  As a result, Luther has been recognized by Super Lawyers® as a “Rising Star” from 2011 through 2015; and has obtained an AVVO rating of “Superb,” as well as the AVVO Client’s Choice Award for 2015.  Luther has also received the American Family Law Institute’s “Client Satisfaction Award” for 2015 and 2016.
Luther is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Morris, Essex and Bergen County Bar Associations.  Luther volunteers his time as a Matrimonial Early Settlement Program Panelist in each of these counties, and serves as the Chairman of Panel A of the District IIB Attorney Fee Arbitration Committee.  As part of his commitment to continuing legal education, Luther is a Barrister in the Barry I. Croland Inns of Court.
Luther is a 1993 graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park; and a 2004 graduate of Rutgers Law – Camden, where he received the “Excellence Award” for his service to the Student Bar Association.
