Lawyers of Distinction is proud to welcome Robert Bever, Esq., as one of our newest members. Mr. Bever has been in the practice for 40 years this October, as partner in the largest law firm in Eastern Indiana, Boston Bever Klinge Cross & Chidester – a firm dating back to 1911. Over this time he has represented a majority of locally owned businesses in Wayne County, Indiana, including the largest bank institution, First Bank Richmond, along with many charities, including the local Chamber of Commerce and Country Club. Robert was also the City Attorney for the City of Richmond, Indiana for 8 years from 1995 thru 2003. As a result of his experience with sales of businesses, he is now representing, as my largest client, BSN Sports, LLC (the largest supplier of team sport ware in the United States), on a national level, representing their interests in the acquisitions of stores throughout the United States. At present, this has included over 50 acquisitions.
For honors, Mr. Bever has been named in Who’s Who in American law; has been inducted into the Eastern Indiana Business Hall of Fame; has been awarded an outstanding volunteer for the local Chamber; and has been awarded the “Sagamore of the Wabash,” the highest civilian honor that can be bestowed by the Governor of the State of Indiana. Community wise, Mr. Bever has served as President of the Wayne County Chamber; served as Chairman of the Wayne Country Republican Party; served as President of the Junior Achievement Board; served on the YMCA board, the Reid Hospital Foundation Board and the Board of Trustees for Central United Methodist Church. As well as serving as President of the Wayne County Bar Association. Robert also served on the Board of Trustees for my alma mater, DePauw University, where he also served as President of the Student Body.
