Lawyers of Distinction is proud to announce the launch of the first annual Lawyers of Distinction Scholarship. With school tuition rising every year, Lawyers of Distinction wanted to give back to the community by providing our youth with more opportunities to pursue their dreams. As a result, our organization started the Lawyers of Distinction Scholarship, which was created to help students that are aspiring to become a lawyer one day. The scholarship is $1,000 to be applied to the students colleges tuition.
To be eligible for the Lawyers of Distinction Scholarship, the participant must be a current college student that is not yet in their final year or a high school senior that has already been accepted into a college or university.
The guidelines for the scholarship are to write a five hundred word essay answering the question, “What is one law the you think should be put into place that doesn’t current exist?” After writing the essay, the participant is to fill out the application form on the Lawyers of Distinction Scholarship website to have their answer reviewed. Once the application process is complete, the Lawyers of Distinction Scholarship Committee Members will review all applications and select one winner to receive the $1,000 scholarship. After being notified of winning the scholarship, the winner will then have two weeks to confirm their information so the scholarship can be sent to the financial aid department of the school of their choice. There is no application fee or any other costs associated with applying for this scholarship. In the event that the winner does not respond, the Lawyers of Distinction Scholarship Committee will select a runner up, that will ultimately receive the scholarship.
The deadline submit your answer is February 28, 2019. The winner of the scholarship will be contacted sometime in March 2019. Lawyers of Distinction wishes good luck to all participants!!!
