Lawyers of Distinction wishes to welcome Lindsay Miller, Esq., of New York, New York. Ms. Miller was admitted to the Bar of this State and to the Bar of New Jersey in 2005 following her graduation from Brooklyn Law School in June 2004.
During law school, Lindsay received a CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and was one of four students assigned to the Prince Evidence Competition (inter-law school appellate advocacy competition sponsored annually by Brooklyn Law School through its Moot Court Honor Society) Writing Team. Lindsay was selected by the American Society of Legal Advocates as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” family law attorneys in the country for 2014, 2015 and 2016. Lindsay has been cited in the supplement to the New York Times — New York Super Lawyers – as a Rising Star for 2014 and 2015.
Prior to joining Garr Silpe, P.C., Lindsay interned with the Supreme Court Justice Sherry Klein Heitler (now Administrative Judge for Civil Matters, First Judicial District) and thereafter worked with William D. London, Esq., one of the leading matrimonial attorneys in Westchester, New York. She also interned at Westchester Putnam Legal services and the Children’s Law Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Lindsay’s professional activities include membership in the New York Bar Association (Family Law Section) and the New York County Lawyers’ Association (Family Law Section).
She serves on the Matrimonial Committee of the New York City Bar and is a participant of the Matrimonial Pro Bono Project for the New York Women’s Bar Association. Lindsay was instrumental in the preparation and research of materials for many of the continuing legal education lectures given by Ira E. Garr, including programs on equitable distribution and custody.
Lindsay is fully conversant with all facets of matrimonial law including equitable distribution, support matters, custody disputes and the trial thereof. She is also a certified mediator.
