Lawyers of Distinction wishes to welcome Darren Aronow, Esq., of Woodbury, New York as a certified member. Darren Aronow is a consumer law attorney based out of New York with a mid-size firm of about 50 employees. He has been practicing since 2003 and has established himself as a respected attorney setting case law in the Eastern District of New York, Bankruptcy Courts. His practice primarily encompasses bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, loan modifications, real estate, short sales, student loan defense and a plethora of consumer laws which are regularly litigated in federal court including but not limited to FCRA, FDCPA, TCPA, CROA, RESPA, TILA, EFTA, and more.
In his local area, he regularly gives educational seminars for consumers to educate themselves on the various practice areas.
Mr. Aronow graduated with Cum Laude honors from Stony Brook University with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. He then attended Brooklyn Law School, graduating with a Juris Doctorate and is personally licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia. The firm also practices in Illinois, Ohio, Texas, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Wisconsin.
Mr. Aronow has co-authored a book on credit repair basics, titled “Settle the Score” and another book titled “Credit Where Credit is Due,” which illustrates how to identify the numerous consumer law violations that are present on a credit report. He also regularly speaks at conferences around the country on the subject of FDCPA and other consumer law topics.
In addition, Mr. Aronow is a member of the following associations: Member of: American Bar Association, New York Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, NACA – National Association of Consumer Advocates, NACBA – National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and NACSO – National Association of Credit Services Organizations.
